Last updated: February 2026
The Warm Homes Plan is the UK government's flagship energy efficiency programme, backed by £15 billion of public investment. It aims to upgrade up to 5 million homes and lift up to a million families out of fuel poverty by 2030. The plan includes targeted grants for low-income households, the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, new protections for renters, and future government-backed loans for solar panels and heat pumps.

- Solid wall insulation — Internal or external insulation for older properties
